Faile visited Amsterdam this summer and left something behind (again).

Funny thing as we've just talked about it here.

I noticed somebody wrote this about one of the new pieces in Amsterdam,

"Is "faile" a Dutch word? It reminded me of Beckett's "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better". I'm living in Scotland at the moment, and I think "fàile" means "welcome"... "

Found this opinion quite refreshing.

Great to see new street work, simply great. ;D

Long time between posts, but I have a little insight on this one.
"Is "faile" a Dutch word?..."

'Faile' is not a Dutch word as far as I know. However, the word 'Veel' sounds the same to English ears. You hear it in all kinds of sentences here in Holland. For example, 'Veel Success!' is a common expression...'much success' or an indirect translation 'good luck'. I hear 'Veel'(fail) about 20 times a day...basically 'much'.

Anyway, was out and about 'op de fiets'... on the bike...and caught snaps of some recent Faile stuff, came back to post it and saw it was already all over. Uploading Just one Faile snap..one London Police...and one from an artist I'm into over here, 'Mon Mort'...sorry if the other pictures are too 'off' topic.

While I am here posting, I'll mention...

I have a few Faile originals for sale on the Andenken Gallery sister site here in The Netherlands

Great photos! The TLP piece looks incredible. Your Monster stenicl on panel is really nice and classic. Good luck with your sales and post more often! :)
